Community Connect CIC continues to stay open throughout the pandemic and latest national lockdown, following all national guidelines.

Our sensory garden is going from strength to strength, with funding from Rotherham NHS and BDR Waste Management, we have built a wall with incorporated seating that also acts as a raised bed for sensory plants to encourage wildlife. Very soon a large wooden gazebo will be built as a centre piece to our sensory garden, providing seating and shelter from the weather.

Our woodworking workshop is now up and running, at the moment our service users are making chalet door frames to mount on one of the garden walls to create a seaside scene. The polytunnel is full of various seedlings for our sensory garden, patio area and our two allotments.

In the near future we will be opening up the sensory garden to vulnerable adults and local groups, when guidelines allow us to do so.

Every Thursday we normally go out on day trips, this is not possible at the moment so instead we have created our own pub called The Lock Inn, home cooked food prepared by our service users, always a great day!!In our next update there will be exciting news about working with Rockingham Radio.
